The exhibition will be held in multiple indoor and outdoor locations: NRG Center, NRG Arena and OTC Parkway. There, you will find countless networking opportunities while learning of new trends, technologies and equipment. Designed and organized by young professionals, The Next Wave young professional program helps open com- munication between the generations. Young profession- als will have the opportunity to share, learn and network with their peers. The 2018 program is entitled: "The Next 50: The Evolution of the Industry." The Rice Alliance Startup Roundup at OTC is a part- nership between OTC and Rice Alliance. The showcase event on April 30 will present up to 50 emerging energy companies available for investment. It offers a great op- portunity for OTC attendees to learn more about these evolving businesses and enable potential partnerships and investments. Attendance is complimentary with your OTC registration. Several special events will commemorate OTC's im- portant milestone, including the Opening Ceremony Commemorating 50th OTC, which will feature speeches by industry executives discussing the milestones of the last 50 years, the offshore technology revolution of the previous 50 years, and what innovations we can expect for the next 50; the 50th OTC Legacy Luncheon, which will celebrate the success of OTC and pay homage to the volunteers and exhibitors who have given their time and hard work throughout the years to make OTC what it is today; and the Chairman's Panel on Energy Trans- formation, which will include a powerhouse panel of cross-industry executives, moderated by the 2018 board chairman Wafik Beydoun, discussing their outlook and strategy regarding the transition from hydrocarbons to renewables. Industry Awards The conference will feature the OTC Distinguished Achievement Awards Luncheon to recognize the OTC Distinguished Achievement Award recipients, raise funds for a worthy cause and provide an excellent opportuni- ty for industry leaders to network with colleagues from around the world. Sponsorships support the 2018 ben- eficiary, Young Women's College Preparatory Academy. The Distinguished Achievement Award recipients are Brian Skeels for individual achievement; Shell and SBM Offshore for institutional achievement; Cesar del Vecchio for the Heritage Award; and a Special Citation for Tom Sifferman. The awards for innovative technologies are part of the Spotlight on New Technology program, which is ex- clusively for OTC exhibitors. The program showcases products that recently entered the marketplace but are already advancing the oil and gas industry. The awards will be presented on April 30.
