16 st / October 2017 www.sea-technology.com The Next Generation New this year to the IWC, we are inviting university stu- dents to attend the event. The International Water Confer- ence is dedicated to encouraging the next generation of water-related engineers through innovative, enjoyable and hands-on learning opportunities. We are offering the stu- dent an opportunity to network with professionals, join a mentoring program, apply for scholarships, attend a com- plimentary workshop, and participate in a poster session at the conference. Students will also receive a discounted stu- dent registration to attend the conference. Overall, the IWC has always been a strong educational conference. Attendees come to learn about the latest applications available in the industrial water treatment industry, educate themselves in current technology and applications through attendance in IWC workshops, and network heavily with their peers active in water treatment in the IWC exhibit hall. Technical Program This year, more than 75 technical papers and 24 continu- ing education workshops are scheduled. All are carefully peer reviewed for quality and to ensure no commercial as- pect is evident. Each paper presentation at the IWC is fol- lowed by a prepared discussion—a thoroughly considered, different perspective on the topic, followed by an open-floor discussion when all audience members and presenters can fully interact—ask questions, seek clarification and raise al- ternative viewpoints. For more information, visit www.eswp.com/wa ter, or email Conference Manager Taylor Bombalski at t.bombalski@eswp.com. ST Keynote, Awards The IWC keynote session is the official start to the 2017 conference on Monday, November 13 at 11:00 a.m. We are pleased to invite Mr. Emilio R. Tenuta, vice president of cor- porate sustainability at ECOLAB, to be the 2017 keynote speaker. In addition to the keynote speaker, there is a presentation of the annual awards, including the IWC Award of Merit, the Paul Cohen Award and the Joseph A. Levendusky Memorial Scholarship (sponsored by Epicor Inc. and the International Water Conference). These are awards given to an outstanding individual in the field of industrial water technology, an author from the most recent IWC, and an undergraduate student in mechan- ical or chemical engineering, respectively. This program would not be possible without sponsors that show their commitment to the advancement of the wa- ter industry. Sponsorships Sponsorships are available in Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze levels, plus additional a la carte opportunities. Sponsorship includes recognition at the sponsored event, acknowledgment at the Opening Session and discounts for multiple sponsorship and advertising opportunities. Sponsorship also entails a listing of your company name and description in the International Water Conference on- site program; listing of your company name in the prelimi- nary brochure, final brochure and website; and complimen- tary IWC registrations (Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze sponsors only).
