This year, the show is expected to welcome more than 5,000 visitors from more than 60 countries. Global Exhibitors At the very heart of this year's Ocean Business is a three-day exhibition that will feature more than 340 companies, bringing together the world's leading manufacturers and service providers in the indus- try. The purpose-built exhibition center is located directly on the waterfront at the National Oceanography Centre in Southampton and will provide visitors the opportunity to see companies displaying the very latest in the industry all under one roof, free of charge. Although there is a fee to attend the conference, the training, demonstrations and exhibition do not require a conference pass. Hands-On with Latest Technology, Services More than just a static exhibition, Ocean Business pro- vides visitors with a unique opportunity to test-drive equip- ment and systems with more than 180 hours of live, free-to- attend training and demonstration sessions. Products and services are demonstrated in their real environment with sessions held on board vessels, in dockside waters, in a test tank and in classrooms. Additional Meetings Running alongside the exhibition and workshops are conferences designed to keep visitors at the forefront of the industry. Leading industry experts will present and debate the latest advances in the industry at a series of conferences held throughout the week. Many organizations within the industry are holding as- sociated meetings. A variety of seminars will be held by leading organizations in the industry to keep up to date on the latest developments in the world of ocean technology. Networking and Socializing Ocean Business is well- known for organizing special social events, and 2017 will be no exception. The social pro- gram offers plenty of enjoyable events for informal and formal networking, from welcome drinks to the wine trail and the highlight of the week—a Gala dinner held at The Grand Café, one of Southampton's most prestigious venues, on April 5. Gala tickets are on sale now, with booking highly recommended as the social event is typically sold out. Ocean Careers Ocean Careers offers advice and career opportunities with- in the ocean technology, marine science and offshore indus- tries. Incorporating a mix of one-to-one meetings and presen- tations from industry leaders, Ocean Careers is an interactive event designed for all those looking to move into the industry. It's clearly becoming harder for many graduates, newly quali- fied engineers and the unemployed to find work.
