The project, due for completion in the frst quarter of 2016, involves Flex- Tech engineers managing the system design, manufacturing, inspection and delivery of fexibles on a major FPSO facility in the South China Sea. The project involves the design of a replacement fexible pipe system to allow change out of major vessel infra- structure. It also covers infrastructure modifcations to facilitate the replace- ment fexibles and, once sourced, FlexTech will manage the manufactur- ing and delivery of the fexible pipes. Intertek Offers Decommissioning Services With Recycling Element Intertek (Houston, Texas) is launch- ing a new set of oil and gas decom- missioning services to help manage costs and asset inventory. Intertek will complete and manage the applications and permits associated with decom- missioning projects for regulators and stakeholders. They will also utilize the expertise of their labs in waste analy- sis to provide waste characterization and ensure that pipelines are safe to prepare for removal. Once equipment has been decommissioned and repur- posed, Intertek can then recertify it to ensure it is ready to reuse. To assist with managing inventory and data for each asset, Intertek is us- ing GeoAIMS (Geographical Asset and Information Management System), a Web-based application that allows us- ers to interact, query and retrieve data from the database without needing GIS software. Using GeoAIMS for decom- missioning projects means real-time updates of hazardous materials can be taken as and when they are located and identifed. It will also allow the type and quantities of hazardous and residual materials to be logged and tagged to their exact location. Kongsberg Selected for Electronics, Instrumentation, Telecom Solution Kongsberg Maritime (Kongsberg, Norway) has been selected to supply a complete electrical, instrument and telecom solution, including E-house, for the new Yinson Production (West Africa) Pte Ltd.
