Under the terms of the agree- ment with Colonial Terminals Inc., Aegean will lease tank- age from Colonial's oil terminal on the Savannah River. Aegean will acquire and blend a full range of bunker fuel products and has agreed to supply Colonial Oil Industries Inc. with a range of No. 6 oil products for Colonial's truck delivery business. Aegean has contracted with the Vane Brothers Co. to provide barge services in the port. ABS, Cooper Contract For Subchapter M Compliance ABS has been awarded a third-party organization (TPO) contract by the Cooper Group of Companies to support compliance with U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) Subchapter M requirements. This establishes ABS as the exclusive Subchap- ter M TPO for Cooper Group and its subsidiaries, Crescent Towing, Cooper Marine & Timberlands and Plimsoll Tow- ing. ABS will perform TPO surveys and Responsible Carrier Program audits across Cooper Group's 60-vessel fleet. S-92 Helicopter for South Korea The South Korea Coast Guard has accepted delivery of its second Sikorsky S-92 helicopter for search and rescue. Following the aircraft's shipment to South Korea, air crews will conduct training in-country. The aircraft is expected to enter service by year's end. SeaOtter-2, SeaLion-2 ROVs in Full Use ROVs are used worldwide for a variety of projects. JW Fishers' SeaOtter-2 and SeaLion-2 have become popular ROVs. A variety of options are available, from a mountable sector scanning sonar (SCAN-650) to a remote metal detec- tor (RMD-1). Alaska ROV Services of Haines, Alaska, recently pur- chased a SeaLion-2 with a SCAN-650 and a side scan sonar system for underwater search and inspection. The SeaLion-2 has also been used for a water tank inspection in Plymouth, Massachusetts. The Snohomish County Sheriff's Office owns and operates a SeaLion-2 ROV for searches in the vast wa- ters of Washington State, as well as dive-training exercises. CARIS S-57 Composer 3.1 Adopts New Standard for ENC Validation Teledyne CARIS has adopted Edition 6.0 of IHO Publica- tion S-58 for ENC validation checks in the latest release of CARIS S-57 Composer 3.1. Now supporting ENC validation based on the new S-58 Edition 6.0 (May 2017) Standard, S-57 Composer's quality control tests have been reorganized, rewritten and extended to match the standard. New test collections quickly deter- mine if an ENC passes mandatory error and warning checks. Lignum Vitae Products Receive ABS Certificate For Marine, Offshore Applications Lignum Vitae North America LLC's water-lubricated hard- wood stern tube and strut bearings and bearings for rudder stocks, shafts and pintles have received an ABS certificate of design assessment for use in marine and offshore applica- tions. This followed a rigorous technical evaluation by ABS. The company also had to certify compliance with numerous environmental requirements.
