people Marylou Gentilhomme joined Kongs berg Geoacoustics Ltd. (Great Yar mouth, Eng- land) as customer support engineer in July, focusing mainly on the GeoSwath technology and clients. She has worked previously in research and development at CARIS and for an international dredg- ing company in the Middle East. SeeByte Ltd. (Edinburgh, Scotland) has appointed Jaehoon Lee as senior engi- neer, the company announced in June. He will be based in San Diego, Califor- nia, and will support SeeByte's U.S. Navy programs and commercial partners. Lee worked previously as senior systems en- gineer for Wintec Inc. Paul Capell was named in July chairman of Aquamarine Power (Edinburgh, Scotland), replacing Mervyn Jones. Capell has worked extensively in the renewable energy, water, and oil and gas sectors. Greg Rivalan and Matt Burdyny have been promoted to ap- plication engineers at Teledyne RD Instruments (Poway, Cal- ifornia) for navigation products and acoustic Doppler current profilers, respectively, the company announced in June. Both joined Teledyne RDI as field service engineers, with Rivalan being hired in 2005 and Burdyny in 2008. Channel Technologies Group (Santa Barbara, California) named in June retired Vice Adm. John J. Donnelly, retired RAdm. Nevin P. Carr and retired RAdm.Winford (Jerry) Ellis to the company's first strategic advisory board. All three have decades of experience in marine technology from their serv- ice in the U.S. Navy. John L. Brock has joined the sales and marketing team at J&J; Technical Services LLC (Shreveport, Louisiana), the company announced in June. He has 20 years of oil and gas sales and marketing experience. Alastair McCallien, Mitchell Neilly and Phillip Silvester have joined Swathe Services (Saltash, England) as surveyors, the company announced in June. McCallien is a senior surveyor who worked at the U.K. Environment Agency. Neilly has ex- perience with geospatial data. Silvester has a computing, net- working and offshore fishing industry background. Colin Taylor became the vice president of Europe for Teledyne Oil & Gas (Daytona Beach, Florida) in May. He will lead the Worthing, England, and Ellon, Scotland, operations, business and technology development, finance and field service. Sam Woodward became president and CEO of Horizon Lines Inc. (Charlotte, North Carolina) in June. Woodward succeeds Stephen H. Fraser.
