BP. ASV Global, Porchester, England, has signed a license agreement for use of its advanced USV capability technol- ogy. ABB, Zurich, Switzerland, has been selected to provide OCTOPUS ma- rine software to ensure safe and ef- ficient operations of a vessel. Plan B Energy Solutions, Trondheim, Norway, has signed an energy stor- age supply contract with two of the largest battery-powered ferries in the world. These fully electric ferries will carry their part of more than 7.4 million passengers and 1.9 million vehicles annually. Helsingör Route, ABB. Cathie Associates, Brussels, Belgium, helped carry out the use of the Car- bon Trust's Cable Burial Risk Assess- ment guidelines on the CERES Project in Australia, one of the largest renew- able energy projects in the country. Kongsberg Maritime, Kongsberg, Norway, has been awarded a contract as the primary supplier of the acous- tic scientific research and mapping equipment for the British Antarctic Survey's new Polar Research Vessel, the RRS David Attenborough. ABS, Houston, Texas, has been award- ed a research contract for a two-year research program focused on defin- ing the future of cybersecurity for the maritime industry. Lloyd's Register, London, England, has agreed to a five-year block fee ar- rangement to class a fleet of vessels transferred to them by January 2017. The 67 ships being transferred support the seagoing fleet of vessels owned by the German authorities. WSV. DEME, Zwijndrecht, Belgium, was awarded a €41 million contract for the Container Terminal Project at Port Louis Harbor in Mauritius. Work will include dredging in various soil con- ditions, including rock. The work will be executed by the heavy-duty rock cutter dredger "Ambiorix," suitable for heavy soil and rock conditions.
