Evans , founder of David Evans and Associates, Inc. and its parent com- pany David Evans Enterprises, Inc., has announced his retirement after 40 years. He started his professional consulting frm with one associate, David H. Gould, and grew it from two people to more than 1,000 people in 24 offces in eight states. Tor E. Svensen will retire as executive vice president at DNV GL effective August 1. He will continue to work in the maritime industry and will take up a role as pro- fessor at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, Scotland, focusing on educa- tion and research of safety at sea. Pat Quealey has been named CEO of Royal Canadian Marine Search and Rescue. Quealey has more than 25 years' expe- rience with the Canadian Armed Forces, including combat operations in Afghanistan. Sealite has named Malcolm Nicholson global engineering manager. Nicholson is the chairman of Working Group 1 (light and vision) in the Engineering Committee of the Interna- tional Marine Aids to Navigation and Lighthouse Authorities (IALA) and a registered IALA World Wide Academy Expert. Jason LaShelle has joined Greensea as production manager. LaShelle will plan, coordinate and control manufacturing processes for the company. He comes from the U.S. Coast Guard, where he was in charge of systems integration and quality assurance. Hendry Marine Industries Inc. has hired Jim Long as the chief executive offcer. Long will focus on business improvement and long-term planning for Hendry Marine, Gulf Marine and all their affliated companies. Jennifer Carpenter has been promoted to chief operating off- cer of The American Waterways Operators (AWO). Carpenter was previously the executive vice president and brings more than 25 years' experience. Fifth Ring announced the two senior appointments of Mi- chael Craig joining Specialized Oilfeld Products as general manager and Jim Splaine being promoted to regional general manager of Vincotte International Middle East. Craig brings more than 30 years' experience in the oilfeld industry while Splaine has more than 26 years' experience in the oil and gas industry. Tim Brownlow, Troy Garnett, Marius Lengkeek and Sue Mol- loy have been appointed to the Marine Renewables Canada 2016 Board of Directors. Brownlow brings more than 35 years' experience in the offshore oil and gas sector. Garnett has a wealth of experience in the energy and marine sectors.
