www.sea-technology.com May 2016 / st 23 The CLEAN PACIFIC Confer- ence and Exhibition, taking place June 21 to 23 in Seattle, Washing- ton, is designed to bring together stakeholders in spill prevention and response from government, environmental, emergency planning and emergency response industries to share lessons learned, hear best prac- tices, and view new products and services for response op- erations. The 2016 conference agenda covers spill prevention and response for marine, inland waterways, rail and pipeline and is broken out into three tracks: Planning and Prepared- ness, Prevention, and Response and Recovery. CLEAN PACIFIC is co-hosted by the member agencies of the Pacifc States/British Columbia Oil Spill Task Force. The 2016 agenda was developed by an advisory commit- tee representing state/provincial and federal governments, industry and the nonproft partners in oil spill prevention, preparedness and response. Show Program Pre-conference workshops that will take place on Tues- day, June 21, are: "Incident Command System (ICS) and the Incident Command Post – Crisis Communication by De- sign," "Shoreline/Inland Response and SCAT Surveys," and "Exercise Program Management through the Homeland Se- curity Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP)." The conference will kick-off Wednesday, June 22, with the welcome and general session on Refugio State Beach Spill Response Case Study 2.0. The afternoon conference sessions are: Managing Risks in Alaskan Marine Transpor- tation, Advances in Planning – Response Management Tools, Advances in Non-Mechanical Response Techniques, Assessing Risk & Liability, Advances in Implementation of Plans and Training, Marine Response Issues and Tools, Advances in Response Tools, and Environmental/Response and Restoration Issues. On Thursday, June 23, the fnal day will consist of ses- sions including Cooperation in Derelict Vessel Manage- ment; Being Prepared for Rail and Pipeline Incidents; Health and Safety Response Issues; Waterway Risk Man- agement; Crisis Communication: Understanding your Audience and Tools; Inland Response – Lessons Learned, The Engagement Challenge; Crude-by-Rail Incident Man- agement; Transboundary/International Cooperation/Sal- ish Sea; and Managing the In- cident. The Exhibition The CLEAN PACIFIC exhibit hall will feature more than 50 exhibitors showcasing their products and services for spill prevention and response. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet face to face with all of the exhibitors over a two-day period to discuss their unique products and services.
