SeaVex Refurbishment Wins Estuary Power Cable Burial After a four-week refurbishment of the recently acquired SeaVex, Pharos Offshore currently has a team of seven per- sonnel manning the Mass Flow Excavator. SeaVex is based on a hybrid subsea excavation system that is extremely adaptable, compact and controllable and will be burying a live power cable section of 100 m to a depth of 4 m in the estuary of the River Weser, Germany. SeaByte Founder Professor David Lane Awarded CBE SeeByte founding member Professor David Lane has been appointed Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) for services to engineering in the 2016 New Year's Honors list. Lane is a professor of autonomous systems engineering at Heriot-Watt University and a founding director of both SeeByte and the Edinburgh Centre for Robotics.
