he HYPACK 2016 USA Training Event
will be held in Tampa, Florida, on Janu-
ary 4 to 7, 2016.
The Grand Hyatt in Tampa will be pro-
viding accommodations and hosting our an-
nual event. This hotel is set along a nature
preserve on the bay's upper shores in one of
Florida's most picturesque locales.
Updated Software
During this event, we will reveal the newest version
of our software, HYPACK 2016. Some of the new features
include: high-density laser data acquisition; multidetect
multibeam support; multiday acquisition and processing;
post-processed positioning (PPK) in HYSCAN; SBET editing
tool; many new exported reports to PDF; support for four-
channel magnetometers; dual-head water column logging;
sound velocity interpolation by position in MBMAX, TIN
MODEL volumes features; new 64-bit Single Beam Editor;
new Marine Search software package; and much more.
Some of the new or enhanced drivers are: Velodyne
VLP-16 laser, Renishaw Merlin Laser Scanner, Leica P20
laser, EdgeTech sub-bottom, Marine Sonic
ARC Explorer (side scan), Diver-6 driver
for tracking diver position, and several for-
ward-looking side scan sonars/proflers.
Sessions
The HYPACK USA Training Event is an
essential, low-cost method to receive com-
prehensive instruction in HYPACK, DREDGE-
PACK and HYSWEEP software. This training is
benefcial to all as we provide a general training ses-
sion for those who are just beginning to use HYPACK or
those who wish to have a refresher.
There are also expert sessions scheduled for in-depth
training on a particular subject. If you need help with
an individual issue or question, one-on-one sessions
with our technicians and programmers are also available
throughout the event.
Certifcation
Attendees have the chance to become HYPACK certi-
fed in HYSWEEP and HYPACK after the HYPACK 2016
