EIVA Opens Offce in Singapore EIVA recently opened a Singapore offce as a result of in- creasing activities in the Asia-Pacifc region, thereby offering customers and partners a local point of contact. EIVA Singapore Pte Ltd. will open its doors in the Regus building situated in Holland Village. America's Cup Challenger Land Rover BAR Selects iXBlue as Technical Supplier iXBlue, a provider of navigation, positioning and imaging solutions, will be providing high-performance heading and attitude sensors to Land Rover BAR to help the British team bring the America's Cup home to where it all began on the Solent in 1851. The iXBlue navigation system will monitor the relative orientations and motions of Land Rover BAR's wing-sailed foiling catamarans. Caley IWOCS Deployment System Completes Deepwater Interventions A portable Intervention Work Over Control System (IWOCS) developed by Caley Ocean Systems, part of the Se- anamic Group, has been used to successfully test the mani- fold functions on four deepwater subsea manifolds post-in- stallation. The Caley IWOCS deployment system is a self-contained portable skid comprising A-frame, umbilical reeler/power unit and deployment frame. Deployed from a vessel of opportunity, the IWOCS de- ployment system enabled the subsea in-situ testing and oper- ation of all manifold mounted valves via the manifold subsea control module (SCM). TOP Ships Announces Delivery of Third Newbuild Vessel TOP Ships Inc., an international owner and operator of modern, fuel-effcient "ECO" MR tanker vessels focusing on the transportation of petroleum products, announced that it has taken delivery of the MT Ecofeet, a 39,000-dwt tanker, the third of six vessels under construction in the company's feet. The company also announced that the MT Ecofeet has commenced its time charter employment with BP Shipping Ltd. The remaining three vessels are scheduled for delivery between the frst and the third quarter of 2016. GLISTEN '15 On Board NATO RV Alliance From August 26 to September 9, the NATO RV Alliance will be conducting the oceanographic campaign GLISTEN '15 in the Tyrrhenian Sea, north of Elba Island. During GLISTEN '15, scientists from the NATO Centre for Maritime Research and Experimentation (CMRE) and their partners will collect acoustic, oceanographic and geophysi- cal data by traditional and novel observational methods, in- cluding underwater gliders, the greenest unmanned under- water robotic platforms that are available to date. ST has achieved commercial operations. GES is the only inte- grated service provider in its class, the company said, and is engaged in a roll-up strategy of key vendors to expand its growth in revenue and operating income and enhance its dominant position on the African continent. MPE Interiors Completes Tug Supply Vessel Fit Out Liverpool City Region, England-based ship interiors spe- cialist MPE has completed a ft out of the tug supply vessel the Sentinel Ranger for UK Docks Marine Services. MPE undertook the work at UK Docks' Wear dockyard, in Sunderland, England. MPE Director John Whetnall said it supplied a team of men to undertake a range of jobs to help upgrade the 1,400-dwt U.K.-fagged vessel. The team further manufactured and installed additional new furniture for an upgrade of 12 deluxe cabins on the vessel. SeaKing Strikes Partnership with Valmet Merseyside, England, marine electrical engineering frm SeaKing has recently formed a strategic partnership with Finnish oil technology frm Valmet. The partnership makes SeaKing an offcial distributor for Valmet's automation services to the maritime industry in the U.K. SeaKing's role will involve a professional frst-line re- sponse operation providing highly skilled engineers to install and maintain Valmet's automation systems. COOEC Takes Delivery of Three SMD Quantum ROVs SMD recently announced the delivery of three Quantum work-class ROV (WROV) systems to China's largest offshore engineering construction company, COOEC Subsea Tech- nology Co. Ltd. SMD was awarded contracts to supply COOEC with three Quantum MkIII 3,000-m-rated WROV systems in the frst quarter of 2015. The orders include one 12-te and two 15-te launch and recovery systems, SMD DVECS-S control systems for each vehicle, and a comprehensive spares and support package. Sparrows Group Increases Malaysian Market Presence Sparrows Group has expanded into the Malaysian market after forming a strategic partnership with a local service provider in the region, Effcient Technology Sdn Bhd (Eftech), as part of the company's ambitious plans to increase business in Asia Pacifc over the next fve years. As part of the country-wide agreement, Sparrows Group will offer services such as offshore crane mainte- nance, crane hire, fuid power, inspection, and cable and pipe lay products, which are in particularly high demand in the region. Cat Continues Dual-Fuel Engine Conversions Building on the success of recent MaK diesel engine, dual-fuel retroft conversions, Caterpillar Marine is currently underway on another dual-fuel engine retroft conversion on board the 472-ft. Fure West tanker, owned by Furetank Re- deri A/B. The MaK M 43 C diesel engine on board the tanker will be retroftted in hull to the seven-cylinder M 46 dual-fuel
