30 st / September 2015 www.sea-technology.com cal Instruments, Teledyne acquired two seismic companies in late 2014. Collectively, these product brands deliver a full spectrum of seismic technology, ranging from small, highly reliable hydrophones and complex towed arrays to innovative sound sources and data synchronization systems. Sensors: Teledyne Bowtech, CDL, RD Instruments, and TSS. This group offers a variety of highly innovative, feld- proven sensors designed to collect critical data for ocean science, commercial, energy, and defense applications. These solutions span a wide range of technologies, from camera and LED lights for ROVs to highly intricate preci- sion navigation aiding systems, motion sensors, pipe and cable tracking, current profling devices, and CTD sensors. Vehicle Systems: Teledyne Benthos, Gavia, Oceanscience, SeaBotix, and Webb Research. The vehicles of Teledyne Marine enable customer-optimized data collection with the most comprehensive and innovative suite of undersea ve- hicles and infrastructure available. The collective portfolio includes low-logistics, high-per- formance autonomous unmanned marine vehicles (AUVs), sensor-neutral towed systems, remotely operated surface and subsea vehicles, undersea positioning and telemetry, and deep-sea infrastructure. Three Key Resources Three Teledyne-wide resources in particular have proven invaluable to Teledyne Marine. Teledyne Scientifc Co. This company has a unique heri- tage that traces back to its foundation in the 1960s as the Rockwell International Science Center. From deep space, where Teledyne provides infrared imagers for space tele- scopes and thermal tiles for the space shuttle, to the deep sea, where Teledyne provides advanced research and de- velopment expertise for extreme environment applications, Teledyne Scientifc successfully serves the diverse needs of military, government and commercial customers with ad- gies. TMTW (http://tm-techworkshop.com) will be in San Di- ego, California, in October, and will allow Teledyne Marine's collective customers to attend technical sessions presented by their peers, product/software training, on-water demonstra- tions, and vast networking and learning opportunities. A Sea of Solutions Teledyne Marine's products/brands can best be organized into fve categories, all of which can build on each other, al- lowing for stand-alone or integrated technology solutions: Imaging: Teledyne Atlas Hydrographic, BlueView, Odom Hydrographic, Optec, and RESON. The imaging product brands provide advanced multibeam echosounder and other sonar solutions servicing a variety of markets and applications. Offerings range from single-beam echosound- ers and entry-level multibeam bathymetric systems to high- resolution multibeam systems, long-range forward-looking sonars, scanning sonars, and deepwater multibeam systems, as well as advanced lidar, providing hydrographic and im- aging tools for virtually any requirement. Interconnect: Teledyne AG Geophysical, DGO, Impulse, ODI, and Storm Cable. These product brands provide wet- mate and drymate interconnect systems for power and data transmission and asset integrity monitoring systems that deliver high-reliability engineered solutions for subsea/top- side, sensing, and power/data network interfacing and dis- tribution applications. Primarily focused on offshore oil and gas applications, these technologies are also leveraged for ocean science and defense applications, and are utilized as key components in many Teledyne Marine products. Seismic: Teledyne Bolt, Geophysical Instruments and Real Time Systems. Complementary to Teledyne Geophysi- An overview of Teledyne Marine's technologies, from the sur- face to the seafoor.
