The order se- cures the main engines, azimuth and tunnel thrusters. Fujian Mawei Ship- building Ltd. Specialist Machine Developments (SMD) Ltd., Wallsend, England, an- nounced that its shareholders have recently signed a sale and purchase agreement for the sale of the entire share capital of the SMD group. This deal is subject to completion of fling procedures. Zhuzhou CSR Times Elec- tric Co. Ltd. Saab Defense and Security USA, LLC, Washington, D.C., has been awarded a contract for components and subsys- tems of the U.S. Marine Corps AN/TPS- 80 Ground/Air Task Oriented Radar system. The order value of the contract is $32 million. Northrop Grumman Corp. Sonardyne International Ltd., Yateley, England, announced that it will deliver £1 million worth of its 6G acoustic positioning technology. The 6G equip- ment is headed for West Africa to sup- port the survey and construction phas- es of a major new feld development project. Seatronics. SSI's, Victoria, Canada, ShipConstruc- tor software has been selected for new shipbuilding activities. The client's de- cision is based on the multiple advan- tages ShipConstructor offers in com- parison with other ship construction programs. Holland Shipyards. GE Marine, Paris, France, announced that it has been chosen to supply its In- ternational Maritime Organization Tier III-compliant marine diesel engines for new and repowered vessels. The order is for six, eight-cylinder, in-line engines for three new ferries. Bastø Fosen. Cammell Laird, Birkenhead, England, has secured a multimillion-pound, newbuild ferry contract. The company was awarded the £5.7-million project by the Department for Regional De- velopment after an open procurement exercise, which attracted interest from shipyards across Europe. Northern Ire- land Executive. Flextech, Aberdeen, Scotland, has secured contracts worth in excess of £250,000. The projects, with two oil and gas companies, will take place both on and offshore supporting op- erations in the U.K. and the North Sea. Flextech will execute fexible pipe work. Undisclosed. Imtech Marine Canada, Halifax, Can- ada, was selected to replace a ship-to- shore wireless communication system. Given a short time frame, installation took place in just three weeks. Marine Atlantic Inc. Wärtsilä, Helsinki, Finland, has an or- der for a propulsion system to power a carrier vessel for compressed natural gas. The system was chosen for its en- ergy effciency and environmental sus- tainability. Perusahaan Listrik Negara. Vikoma International Ltd., East Cow- es, England, has assisted in the oil spill response equipment supply for a new vessel. It will be equipped with 800 meters of Vikoma oil containment boom and four Vikoma boom reel, providing a recovery capacity of more than 1,000 cubic meters. Finnish Coast Guard. Wood Group Kenny, Perth, Australia, has secured a contract to provide the front-end engineering design of the fowline system, and associated pro- curement support, for the proposed Greater Western Flank Phase 2 devel- opment for the North West Shelf Proj- ect offshore western Australia. Wood- side. Bibby Offshore Singapore, Singapore, has secured a contract to provide ROV services for the DP2 dive support ves- sel, the Windermere. The contract, which commenced on January 5, 2015, involved the vessel being mo- bilized with an Atom work-class ROV. Seascape. GAC, Dubai, United Arab Emirates, has been appointed as the sole pro- vider of hub agency services for a LNG feet.
