This technique does not require scatterers in the water to make the measurement. A major benefit: you can measure the smallest currents in any kind of water–clear, turbid, fresh or saline. Another benefit is that the circular faired rings support the sensors, keep wake turbulence at a minimum and provide an ideal cosine response. Another major feature is the THROW-AND- GO operation whereby either you or we can preset the MAVS for its deployment schedule in the lab and then simply deploy it at the most convenient time.
