nterspill Conference and Exhibition
2015 will take place March 24 to 26
in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
The leading European oil spill con-
ference and exhibition will focus on
potential issues to be raised from any
future oil spills and will provide a plat-
form for industry, academia and gov-
ernment to meet, discuss and network.
The event is attended by operators
(IOCs/NOCs), offshore contractors,
drilling contractors, vessel operators, and those involved
with ports and harbors.
Interspill 2012 attracted more than 1,300 delegates,
visitors and exhibitors from more than 70 countries. It
was the most successful event so far in the Interspill series
since the event started being held in 2000.

of spill preparedness and
response as exploration
and production and ship-
ping activities continue
to move into more chal-
lenging environments and
public sensitivities to per-
ceived spill risks have in-
creased.
The opening plenary
session will address the
topic of oil exploration
and production activi-
ties taking the industry to
more remote areas and
extreme environments.
Shipping risks now in-
clude piracy and terrorism
more than ever before.
Meanwhile, industry rightly seeks to
achieve higher and higher levels of
health, safety and environment per-
formance. This plenary session on
"Current Issues and Challenges in
Spill Response" will set the context
for the conference program that fol-
lows.
To address the challenges that the
industry currently faces, Interspill
is organized around the following
conference streams: multiagency response; stakeholder
engagement; inland issues; remote sensing/Earth obser-
vation; holistic response; future risk/future requirements;
and emerging technologies and strategies.
