26 st / September 2014 www.sea-technology.com water removal and reinjection or disposal, boosting, gas separation and gas compression. Experts will present the viability of subsea processing for both green and brown felds. The conference will also hold three executive panels. The Industry Panel will discuss issues affecting the industry as a whole and the Drilling & Dollars Panel will bring to- gether oil and gas fnancials. For the second time, Offshore Energy will have a Human Capital Panel, which this year will focus on retention of talent and leadership develop- ment. The future is in the water—but harnessing offshore opportunities can only be realized by securing the future's workforce. Renewable Energy Offshore Energy pays attention to all forms of offshore energy, including renewable. One of the technical ses- sions will offer a quick scan of developments in marine renewable energy. Delegates can expect to hear about the latest inventions in wave, tidal and ocean thermal energy in both tropical and temperate zones. The co-located Offshore WIND In- stallation and Maintenance Conference will address the technical, operational, commercial and managerial chal- lenges associated with future industry growth. Already in its ffth year, the conference will offer an overview of wind farm developments, present innovations in wind farm in- stallation and maintenance, and discuss the challenges of grid integration. For more information on Offshore Energy, visit www. offshore-energy.biz. n ence will discuss the challenges operators face to keep the equipment running and what solutions are available to keep producing responsibly and proftably. When the productive life of a feld has defnitely come to an end, a different process kicks in. Governments and regulatory agencies are informing the offshore oil and gas industry that unproductive wells must be adequately sealed to pre- vent potential environmental threats. In the North Sea area and Gulf of Mexico alone, several thousands of wells have to be abandoned. One of the technical sessions will look at cost-effective solutions for plugging and abandonment. On the nontechnical side, the conference will address a topical gap in rules and regulations for offshore service vessels. This session, organized together with the Royal As- sociation of Netherlands Shipowners, will discuss how na- tional governments are trying to defne "industrial person- nel" and how regulations are being developed within the IMO. This session neatly links with the recurring session about new offshore vessels, which presents the latest in offshore ship concepts, design and construction. Maurizio Collu, lecturer at Cranfeld University, among others, will contribute to this session by giving an update on aerody- namically alleviated marine vehicles. Subsea Processing Offshore Energy stays on top of new developments, and with the session on subsea processing, the conference will address a key innovative area. Subsea processing provides an alternative to production equipment located on a fxed or foating platform. This session will discuss the latest developments in subsea processing solutions, including New MATS 3G Multi-Modulation acoustic teleMetry systeM Mats 3G is an underwater acoustic modem that ofers a single solution for all underwater communication needs. While ensuring long-range and reliable communi-cation, Mats 3G also features a robust and versatile innovative multi-modulation system to ft a wide range of applications and environments. // OUTSTANDING TRANSMISSION PERFORMANCE up to 15 km range up to 24.6 kbps data rate // OPTIMIZED INTEGRATION light and compact design // VERSATILE FIELDS OF APPLICATION ofshore oil & Gas oceanography defense www.sercel.com anyWHere. anytiMe. eVerytiMe. nantes, France sales.nantes@sercel.com Houston, usa sales.houston@sercel.com
